Boreal Mountain is scheduled to open tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 28, and will be the first California resort to do so. Thanks to cold overnight temperatures, they have been able to make enough snow to open a run off the Nugget chair that will have access to four or five terrain park features.
Operations are scheduled through Saturday and after that will be based on weather. Lift tickets will be sold for $15 and are expected to sell out.
All seasons passes will be valid for both days. This is a good opportunity to purchase season passes before prices go up on Monday, Oct. 31.
Resort services such as food & beverages, retail and season pass sales will be available. Due to limited terrain, there will be no beginner trails or ski school this weekend.
Operating Schedule:
Friday, Oct. 28 – 3 – 8 p.m.*
Saturday, Oct. 29 – 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.*
* – Times are based on snow conditions and are subject to change
To celebrate the start to the season, the Seventh Annual Jibassic Public Invitational (JPI.7) will take place on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. This will be open to the public, and Boreal will give out $1,000 in cash for their favorite tricks.
