Chamrousse 1650 is hosting the Ski Force Winter Tour Dec. 13-13, 2009. This free event is not to be missed by fans of the latest ski equipment.
The Ski Force Winter Tour lets skiers and snowboarders test the latest designs of more than 15 of the biggest brands in ski. Winter sports professionals will also be on hand to give advice on skiing techniques and equipment choice.
The demonstration village lets winter sports enthusiasts put well known brands to the test with equipment from Salomon, Rossignol, Atomic, Dynastar, and several others. There will also be a stage area with music and events for an all round festive atmosphere.
Chamrousse and the Ski Force Winter Tour will be organising prize draws and contests where you might be lucky enough to win a number of prizes. The resort is also opening its Gaboureaux lift for free, so that visitors will have their very own piste on which to test the latest gear.
This year, Chamrousse 1750 is debuting its new la Croix cable car too. It can transport up to 3000 skiers per hour, so skiers will be spending less time on the lifts and more time on the snow. Skiers and boarders will need to purchase a lift pass to try this one out, but the €27 (single day adult) price tag also gives access to more than 90 kilometres of runs.
