Canaan Valley in West Virginia is getting into the winter season with an opportunity for customers to enjoy special holiday entertainment in addition to skiing and snowboarding. The Arts Package features an evening performance of family-oriented seasonal music, comedy, and variety acts at the American Mountain Theater. The theater is located in Elkins, not far from the Canaan Valley Resort.
The package is available Dec. 1 - 21 and cannot be combined with other promotions. The best value for both entertainment and on snow activities are the weekends of Dec. 11 - 13 and Dec. 18 - 21. Both fall within the "value season" at Canaan Valley when lift tickets are reduced.
Lift tickets and lift/rental combinations would have to be purchased separately from the Arts Package which includes two nights' lodging, two breakfasts, an evening dinner, and tickets for the theater for $!48 per person, double occupancy. The package also includes use of the Beech Club with its indoor pool, fitness center, whirlpool, and sauna.
Day session lift tickets during value season cost $30 for adults and $22 for seniors and juniors. Half day tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for juniors and seniors.
Another option is the three-night stay Christmas Holiday Package that includes lodging, lift tickets, breakfasts, and the use of the Beech Club. The rate is $287 per person, double occupancy.
