Mom and Dad can have Date Night during their Copper Mountain vacation. The resort offers Kids' Night Out which is sponsored by the Copper Chamber of Commerce. It's a free childcare service.
The condition is that parents must spend $30 per child at any commercial outlet at the resort, during the time that your children are in the program. Bring in your receipts at the end of the evening. Times are 5:30 to 10 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday. It's crazy fun for the kids as they eat pizza, do crafts, watch movies, and have fun at the center.
Reservations are recommended, but walk-ups are accepted. The number to call is 970-968-2318, ext. 38101.
Aspiring chefs are also invited to cook at Copper. Kids in the Kitchen is every Monday through Thursday night at Pizza Carlo. Kids get to sit at the pizza bar and create the pizza of their dreams. Copper chefs provide the dough and the junior chefs add the toppings of their choice to invent their family's pizza. The most popular is the Dessert Pizza.
Copper Mountain also has a video arcade. It's in the heart of the Village at Copper, next to Chub's and across from The Cage. There are new games, old games (Ms. Pacman), and a carousel horse ride.
