Skiers heading to Saas Fee this winter will benefit from five snow trains, a new children's park for young skiers, and a new micro-bowling leisure centre.

Euro-Express will be offering five "Snow Trains" between January and March 2010, each transporting 600-700 passengers to Switzerland. The trains will travel from Hamburg to Brig, which is just 30 kilometres from Saas Fee. More details can be found at the online link below.

The Kinderland children's park at Kreuzboden will be renovated from top to bottom in the Sandiger Boden area. A conveyor takes youngsters to Kinderland, where they will enjoy a wide range of activities.

Starting this winter, Haus Lehnhof in Saas-Fee will have two micro-bowling lanes available. Micro-bowling is the latest recreational activity from the United States. It is like bowling, except that the lane is only half as long (15 metres) as in regular bowling and smaller balls are used.

Saas-Fee/Saastal has also received the "Families Welcome" seal of approval again. This year, 25 family resorts and destinations were examined according to the revised quality criteria of the Swiss Tourism Association and were presented with the appropriate awards for the years 2009 to 2012. The family destination Saas-Fee/Saastal successfully achieved the re-certification.
