RocketSki, the UK's specialist in European ski holidays, is offering a seven-night ski break for a family of four in the French Alps from just £657 this Christmas.

Departing from Luton Dec. 19, families can enjoy seven nights on the slopes in Serre Chevalier, one of the largest ski areas in the French Alps. The price of £657 includes seven nights' accommodation at the ClubHotel Grand Aigle on a half-board basis (dinner on six nights with staff taking one night off a week), return flights and transfers, and a four-course Christmas dinner for two adults and two children under the age of 12.

"Serre Che", as it's known, is one of the most southerly resorts in France and also one the Alp's big ski areas. Located close to the Italian border, Serre Chevalier also boasts more than 300 days of sunshine a year. Although that statistic may make some snow lovers nervous, its north facing slopes reach high above the tree line and are boosted with extensive snow making capabilities (more than 490 guns covering more than 145 hectares of trails on lower slopes).

The ClubHotel Grand Aigle is situated on a piste with guaranteed snow, in the perfect location for both beginners and more experienced skiers. There are nursery slopes just next to the hotel, while a nearby gondola can take advanced skiers up to the main ski area. In the evening, the hotel is just a short walk away from the lively town of Villeneuve, which has a number of shops and bars.
