This New Year's Eve, Tignes is expected to attract more than 20,000 clubbers from around the world for its legendary Fire Mix Party - one of the most popular New Year's celebrations in the Alps.

The resort will transform itself into a giant open-air night club and while the temperature may reach freezing, the atmosphere only will only get hotter as midnight approaches. Rather than getting dressed up in a glitzy dress or tight shirt, clubbers show up in mittens and ski parkas to feel comfortable until the sun comes up.

DJ Laurent Wolf will bring Tignes in to the new year with his worldwide hits like "House Train", "Saxo", "Calinda," and "No stress". Laurent Wolf is one of France's hottest Djs on the electro-house scene with more than 200,000 records sold around the world. He was crowned best DJ at the 2009 World Music Awards. This year, he'll be mixing at Tignes.

Party-goers with any energy left may even want to take advantage of Jan. 1, 2010 to ski down nearly deserted pistes. What better way to fill your lungs with fresh mountain air and start a new year full of good resolutions?
