All ski resorts in Pennsylvania are offering a $5 discount on already low priced midweek learn to ski or ride packages during January. A downloadable coupon for the $5 discount is available on the Pennsylvania Ski Areas Association (PSAA) Web site.
The offer is part of Learn A Snow Sport Month national promotion that is being celebrated by Pennsylvania and 22 other states in the U.S. This is the second year for the promotion.
"We're thrilled that our ski areas have united to offer an affordable 'Lean a Snow Sport' program that will open the door to the wonderful world of skiing and riding," said Linda Irvin, executive director of PSAA.
The learning package includes a first time lesson, ski or snowboard rentals, and a lift ticket for the beginner area at participating resorts. Locations throughout the state are listed on the association's Web site.
PSAA previously announced another learning program that enables kids in the 4th and 5th grades to ski or ride free at 22 resorts in the state. Details about qualifying for a Snowpass booklet also are posted on the association's site. The booklet is available for residents in Pennsylvania but is not exclusive to them. There is a minimal administrative fee for the booklet.
