Members of the military can buy the Patriot Pass to get some time on the slopes this winter. It is good for active and retired military personnel.
Passes start at $219 for adults and $104 for their children, with an opportunity to add six days at Steamboat and unlimited Friday afternoons after 12:30, for $20 extra. The extra days at Steamboat make it the Patriot Pass Plus. The pass offers unlimited skiing at Copper and Winter Park for the 2009/2010 season. Military members also receive ten $55 Friends and Family lift tickets to Winter Park and Copper, which are good any time throughout the season.
"It's a simple way for the ski resorts to honor the men, women, and family members who protect and serve our country every day, and give them a fun and recreational outlet to reconnect with their friends and family," said Rob Perlman, vice president of sales and marketing for Winter Park Resort.
Patriot Passes can be purchased at the following military base locations: Buckley, Fort Carson, Peterson, Schriever, Warren, and the Air Force Academy. The purchased passes are then redeemed at a Copper or Winter Park ticket Window. A Department of Defense Military ID card is required.
