Two new lifts this season at Zell am See, the Breiteckbahn and the trassXpress, have improved speed of access and route capacity to the Zell sector of the Europa Sport region. The area also has received the German ADAC motoring organization's "Shooting Star of 2008" award in recognition of its rapid development and infrastructure improvement in recent seasons. The area has 132km (83 miles) of piste served by 56 lifts, and there's summer skiing with a terrain park at 2,600m.
