Okemo Mountain in Ludlow, VT saw its fourth best February vacation week on record (down less that two percent from last year – the third best) while piling up some impressive numbers throughout its retail division. The resort's snowsports shops saw record numbers of sales of items to combat the cold and keep skiers out there in the great conditions despite the sometimes arctic temps. More than 1,000 pairs of goggles and almost 8,000 hand and toe warmers, along with 2,700 face masks and neck warmers, flew off the shelves to provide protection for the happy vacationers and keep them on the new snow during the ten day period. For the resort's retailers it was the best week ever.
