Sunrise Park readies to celebrate its 40th anniversary. The ski area, owned by the White Mountain Apache Tribe, has grown in its four decades to spread 10 lifts across three mountains with five day lodges and 65 trails. The resort is offering two lift ticket deals throughout the winter as part of its anniversary celebration.

Sunrise has declared Thursdays Ladies Day when women can get $10 off all day lift tickets. The offer reduces the cost of lift tickets to $39. The special ticket rate is available every Thursday of the season except Dec. 24 and 31.

Tuesdays will also be a special lift ticket deal day. You can buy one adult full day lift ticket and get a second full day lift ticket for half price. You'll pay $49 for the first lift ticket and $24.50 for the second. The discount is available every Tuesday starting Jan. 5.

The resort has not announced an opening day for the season yet, but has released plans to run night skiing three times this winter Jan. 13, Feb. 13, and Feb. 27. Night skiing will run 4:30-9 p.m. Lift tickets will cost $22 for adults, $20 for youths, and $16 for juniors 12 years old and under. Tickets are available for all day with night or half day with night skiing.
