Students in grades 3 - 12 can participate in a unique field trip experience being offered at Jack Frost Mountain in Pennsylvania's Poconos. Field trips to learn how to ski or snowboard can be scheduled Monday - Friday 9 a.m - 4 p.m. Any school can participate. Lessons are taught by trained professional instructors from the Jack Frost Ski School.  There are some black out dates.

The cost for students is $20 for a Beginner Area only package that includes rental equipment, a beginner lesson, use of the beginner slopes and lunch. Chaperones pay $25 with a limit of one chaperone for every ten students.  Teachers who organize a group of 15 or more ski or ride free.

Students who have prior experience can purchase an All Slope ticket for an additional $5. All Slope tickets cannot be used in the terrain park or the tubing park, however.

Field trips can involve intermediate lessons that cost $25 for students and $30 for chaperones. The price includes the All Slope pass. Students that qualify must have skied five times and have loading and unloading on a chairlift.

Registration for field trips is online. Students must have parental permission. Parents also are welcome but are asked not to interfere with the lesson program. Cost is $20 for a pass and $20 for rentals. Skiing for chaperones is optional.
