It’s shiny and red, with snowflakes all over it. There is a snowmobile on top, a snowplow on front, and a chair from an actual chairlift on the back. It’s the Copper Mountain Snow Day van, affectionately named “Van-nessa.” The van and its marketing crew cruises the country in Copper’s key markets, looking for big events and happy skiers and riders.

“We are spreading the Snow Day love because we feel we get tons of snow days here in Colorado and at Copper and people are getting ripped off because they don’t get the amount of snow days that we do,” Copper's David Roth said. “We feel that everybody deserves a snow day and Copper Mountain is the place where everyone can enjoy a snow day to the fullest.”

You can pretend you’re experiencing a Snow Day by sitting in the chairlift on the back of the van and taking pictures. It also comes equipped with an entire tailgating area with an awning and chairs. It makes snow, too, with a special machine.

You can even be served a hot cocoa flavored snow cone by the Retro Ski Patrol Team. They’re also handing out hot cocoa flavored air fresheners, along with actual trips to Copper. “We have so much fun with it,” Roth said.

The van has hit big cities in Texas like Dallas, Austin and Houston. It’s zipping through Oklahoma City, Kansas City and St. Louis and then heading back to Denver before Thanksgiving.
