Plattekill has a vertical of 1,100 feet, a summit elevation of 3,500 feet, three lifts, 35 trails with the longest 2 miles, an average snowfall of 200 inches, and terrain that is heavily weighted to intermediates, but that also has beginner and expert terrain.
Plattekill has a reputation for being a family oriented, small mountain, operated by husband and wife and their two children.
The area's Powder Puff beginner trail is described as a great 2-mile-long cruiser with just the right pitch for beginners. Plattekill's double diamonds at the other end of the skills spectrum offer 1,100 feet of continuous vertical with top-to-bottom steeps.
