The jury's still out on whether we'll have a white Thanksgiving. It used to be that we'd ski all day and come home to an early roast turkey with all the fixings. This year maybe, maybe not. Most of the ski areas should be open (with the exception of Deer Valley and Sundance) but the terrain is sparse. The resorts will certainly be quiet and mellow Nov. 26-29, 2009.

What you can count on are the hint of winter's approach and the wonderful tastes and smells you will find if don't feel like cooking this Thanksgiving. The Park City School of Wine in Park City will be hosting a 'Wines for Thanksgiving Dinner' class to help you get you in the mood. The class is $20 per person, Nov.  20, 2009 (Fri) from 6 - 7 p.m. at Silver Baron Lodge - next to the Lodges at Deer Valley.

Now that you know how to toast, take a look at what's going on around the Wasatch and make your reservations now. Seatings fill up fast.

FYI: Some of these are last year's prices, so expect to pay a few bucks more.
