Crystal Mountain has been able to open for the Thanksgiving holidays the last couple of winters and hopes to do so again this winter.  If weather permits they plan to open on the holiday and remain open through the weekend.

Skiing or riding would be a great way to work up your appetite for the resort's big Thanksgiving buffet, but if you can't , there's always the Turkey Vulture Trot.  It's a five kilometer and a one mile fun run/walk, and there's no truth to the rumor that Turkey Vulture is on the menu. 

Crystal has an attractive lodging package over the holiday period.  Arrive Nov. 25-28,  stay one night, and you get the second night free.

The resort is set aglow for the holiday season Saturday with the First Light Celebration, which begins at 5 p.m.  Gather around a roaring bonfire and enjoy complimentary hot chocolate while listening to traditional holiday music.  It's that time of year and, hopefully, there will be a few snowflakes in the air and on the ski hill.

Crystal is giving the gift of a free night's lodging when you have time to enjoy it during the holidays.  Recognizing time with family and friends is precious, you can spend another night away without spending another cent on accommodations.  The offer is available throughout the winter during holiday periods.
