Les Menuires, in the Three Valleys, is introducing a new six-seater chairlift, a four-kilometre-long toboggan run, and more energy efficient snow cannons in time for the coming winter.
A new six-seater chairlift, the 'Sunny Express', costing €7.2 million has replaced the four old lifts situated in the Les Bruyeres. This new lift stretches 2.2 kilometres and allows skiers to access the pistes directly from Reberty and to have a wide choice of itineraries from the top of the first lift.
Les Menuires is also introducing a new toboggan run 'Roc' n Bob' at the top of the Rod des 3 Marches cable car. The toboggan run has been created by SEVABEL and is four kilometres long with 22 bends winding down a total vertical of 450 metres. The run is divided in to four zones: the Roc Rapids, the Endless Canyon, the Long Run, and the Image Waterfall. Children and adults can enjoy the ride wearing helmets.
Snowmakers in Les Menuires are now also even quieter and even more energy efficient; 22 state-of-the art machines have been integrated into the slopes.
The Les Menuires' sports centre is adding beauty treatments to its well-being area this winter, including 45-minute facial toning treatments made from fruits and chocolate.
Les Menuires/Saint Martin De Belleville will open for the winter Dec. 5.
