Squaw Valley enters its 60^th anniversary season with lodging specials. Both will appeal to midweek skiers and snowboarders.

The Village at Squaw Valley is offering the Early Season Ski-N-Stay package. It includes three nights of slopeside lodging in a studio unit, three days of skiing, and one free lesson per person. The package, which is based on double occupancy, starts at $102 per person per night. Arrival for the package must be on a Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday, and it is available Nov. 21- Dec. 17.

Eight restaurants and bars plus 20 shops sit in the village complex. Lodging amenities include underground parking, whirlpool spas, Internet access, and laundry facilities.

The Squaw Valley Lodge is also offering a ski and stay package that includes four nights of ski-in, ski-out lodging in a deluxe studio and four days of lift tickets for two people. The package, which costs $124 per person per night, requires a Sunday or Monday arrival and double occupancy. It is available through May 15, excluding holidays.

The lodge, which is located within walking distance to dining and shopping, includes a fitness center, six hot tubs, a steam room, dry sauna, and massage therapy on site. Gated covered parking, a ski check room, and free Internet access is also available.

Squaw Valley is aiming to open for its 60th winter season Nov. 21. Reservations for these packages are available through Central Reservations.
