Chalet specialist Ski Beat is giving away six-day lift passes valid for the entire 3 Valleys area, worth €232, for groups booking its La Tania chalets over Christmas or New Year. Groups only need four or more guests to qualify. A limited number of passes available.

For example the Chalet Amethyste, La Tania is available for the week commencing Dec. 19 for £759 per adult or £609 per child. It sleeps 10, has an in-house creche, and you can ski to and from 150 metres away. Bookings qualify for free childcare and free helmets for kids.

The 'free helmet for children' offer is available when hiring skis and boots from Ski Beat recommended shops. The offer is available in all resorts, all dates: even half term. Ski Beat guests also get up to 30 percent discount when pre-booking equipment hire.

Ski Beat offers discounts on lift passes. At La Rosiere there is a 10-percent discount for off-peak dates and 5-percent for peak dates. At Val d'Isere: buy one, get one half price on certain weeks. In La Plagne and Les Arcs: six-day passes for only €150 pre-Christmas and there's 10 percent off family passes over Christmas.

Ski Beat reports that half term flights are sold out but they still have a few chalets available for self-drive/ independent travellers with a discount of £150 per person.

The company also says that October sales are running at almost double the rate of last year. Early January is selling fast: Jan. 2 is 76-percent sold; Jan. 9 is 62-percent sold.
