Wolf Ridge in North Carolina is chockablock with discounts. The resort's season passes are discounted until Dec. 1. The $400 seven-day unlimited adult pass offers a savings of $125. The midweek pass is reduced from $400 to $300.   

There are other options besides season pass discounts. The extended stay option provides discounts for those able to ski during the day session and again during the evening session on the same day. A $46 midweek extended stay ticket for day and night skiing would cost $67 if purchased separately.  The resort offers a buy one/get one free deal for those only able to ski or snowboard at night.

The nearby Scenic Wolf Resort is offering another way to save money. Rates for cabins have been reduced by $100 per night.  A free lift ticket is provided for every night booked. Reservations need to be made by Feb. 26, 2010. 

Wolf Ridge previously was called Wolf Laurel. Management installed a new quad chair, a new terrain park, and added 15 acres of terrain with snowmaking for the 2009-10 season giving Wolf Ridge a total of 82 acres of usable terrain. There are two quads, two doubles, and one surface lift. The resort is 30 minutes outside of Ashville.     

Seniors 65 and older and children 4 years old and younger ski or snowboard free.
