Horseshoe Resort, an hour north of Toronto near Barrie, has about two weeks left on its early season pass sale. Some passes will be going up by $100 on Nov. 1.
Adult unlimited passes—good day and night—are now $449 CA ($444.64 US), and the junior (six through 16) and senior (60+) versions are $349 CA ($345.61 US). Both of these passes will be going up by $100 per pass on the above date. A 7 Night/5 Day Pass, all ages, is currently $169 CA ($167.36 US). It allows you to ski and ride midweek during the day and every night of the season. An Alpine Night Pass, which allows you to ski and ride every night of the season, is now $129 CA ($127.75 US). Season pass holders get the following weekly perks:
Mondays - Bring up to three friends for $19.99 CA ($19.80 US) each.
Tuesdays - Half-off room nights at the Inn.
Wednesdays - Free tubing from 4 to 8 p.m.
Thursdays - Half-price Kids Korral.
Fridays - Exclusive late access to the hills.
Saturdays and Sundays - Exclusive early access to the hills.
The resort offers 22 runs, six lifts, a new terrain park that doubled in size last winter and a competition superpipe with 17-foot walls, the Thunder Valley Tubing Park with a magic carpet lift, and 35 kilometers of groomed cross-country trails. It typically has one of the longest snowsports seasons in southern Ontario, and is open daily and nightly all season long.
