Southwest Idaho ski areas have one thing in common—dry snow. The type that usually falls as powder, rather than heavy cement. The Southwest Idaho Travel Association is throwing a sweepstakes for someone to win a four-day ski vacation to experience the snow of Bogus Basin, Brundage Mountain and Tamarack Resort.
The Winter Breakaway Sweepstakes is only open to residents of Idaho, Montana, Oregon, California, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado and British Columbia. Airfare via Alaska Airlines is included in the sweepstakes package to get the winner from one of those states to Boise to start the trip.
The winner gets a four-day ski vacation for two people. It includes round-trip tickets for two on Alaska Airlines, accommodations in Boise and McCall for two nights each, as well as lift tickets to ski or ride Bogus, Brundage and Tamarack.

Entry for the sweepstakes requires submitting your name and email address by Feb. 1. To up the odds of your name being drawn, you can enter once a week until then.
The Southwest Idaho Travel Association is also giving away monthly prizes during November, December and January. Prizes include resort gear, lessons and rentals.
Travelers flying in or out of the Boise Airport can also win apparel and prizes. You can enter by taking a snapshot of yourself on the Southwest Idaho chair lift located near Concourse B and then submit the photo via email. One photo winner will be selected each month.
