In St. Anton am Arlberg, the ski season starts with savings in the first week of winter from Nov. 28 to Dec. 5, 2009.

During this period, known as the 'Snow Crystal Week', lift passes costs 25 percent less than the already inexpensive low season rate, and in addition to this many hotels and pensions offer reductions and super special offers such as seven nights' accommodation in a bed and breakfast with a six-day lift pass for €314.

The special offers don't end there either; while prices do rise a little, the discounts continue for the next two weeks from Dec. 5 to 19 in what is termed the 'Wedel Weeks'.

When the village, with its 2680 inhabitants, moves into a pre-Christmas mood, the local Arlberg Lift Company, as well as the hotels and pensions, sweeten this festive period with many attractive offers. 

Those who would like to escape the stress of Christmas shopping at home can book seven days in a cosy bed and breakfast including a six-day lift pass starting from €357 per person.

The ski area of St Anton am Arlberg offers access to 440 kilometres of slopes for all levels of ability connected by 85 state-of-the-art cable cars, and lifts. The resort is particularly popular with snowboarders for its funpark, complete with barriers, pro jumps, a washboard, a tabletop, slides, and a fun box.
