New tour operator Zenith Holidays has unveiled a number of autumn ski deals to glacier ski resorts in Austria and France, some of them little known to the UK market .

If you just can't wait to kick off your 2009-10 ski season, you can head for the slopes next week, they're open already! Five-night holidays are available through the remainder of Oct. (beginning on any Sunday) at Pitztal Resort in Austria, which boasts the country's highest ski runs and a high-tech snow-making system imported from Israel which can make snow in positive temperatures if need be.

In November a three-night, half-board stay in a four-star hotel in Stubai - another Austrian glacier ski area - costs just £179.

In mid-December seven nights in a catered chalet at Serre Chevalier In the southern French Alps is £250, or you can enjoy three nights in a catered chalet at the snow-sure glacier ski area of Alpe d'Huez in France for only £149.

Special deals on Christmas week stays in either Chamrousse or Montgenevre, also in France, on self catering or chalet board basis are also available from £239 to £449 per person.
