Jackson Hole's new Hotel Terra, which opened in February 2008, has already added on another wing. The new 68,000-square-foot addition opened this summer with 60 more rooms and a plunge pool set on a rooftop terrace.

The LEED-certified hotel features green design elements such as lighting much of the hotel with natural daylight, natural organic fibers in bedding, and operational practices that emphasize recycling. The four-diamond hotel is one of Jackson Hole's slopeside resorts with a spa, dining in two restaurants, underground parking, a rental shop, and an upscale boutique.

The new wing includes a ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Teton Village, meeting rooms, and a fitness center featuring Cybex Outfit Equipment. The new outdoor Infinity Plunge Pool sits on the roof of the third floor surrounded by a large terrace. The 60 new rooms include standard guest rooms, studios, and suites with one, two, and three bedrooms.

The hotel is offering an early season ski free special. The package includes four nights' lodging in a guest room or studio for two people and three-day lift tickets for two people for Jackson Hole. Rates begin at $99 per person per night. Resort fees and taxes are extra.

The early season ski free package is available until Dec. 18. Jackson Hole aims to open its lifts Nov. 28.
