For the 26th International Mountain Film Festival, several hotels in Autrans are offering promotional discounts on accommodation. These package deals put the mountains within everyone's reach, allowing mountain and film enthusiasts to attend the showings, debates, and conferences at an attractive price.
Turkey is this year's guest of honour as part of the 'Season of Turkey in France'. Several themed events will showcase the land of Mount Ararat, its majestic peaks, and its blossoming cinematographic industry. As always, the rest of the festival brings the mountains of the world to Autrans with films from all horizons. This event ranks in the top five mountain film festivals and will take place from Dec. 2 to 6, 2009.
Festival-goers have two possibilities for taking advantage of reduced prices on accommodation. They can spend two nights in Autrans in a two-star hotel for €137 per person (half-board, double occupancy). A three-day festival pass is included in the price and gives access to all the events over three days of the festival.
Another possibility is to take an entire week to explore the mountains of the world through the festival and the forested slopes of Autrans through your own eyes. Certain hotels offer a 10-percent discount on a week's stay upon presentation of a four day festival pass.
L'Hôtel de la Buffe, le Chalet Hôtel Au Feu de Bois, l'Hôtel les Tilleuls, l'Hôtel de la Poste, and l'Hôtel le Vernay are all participating in the programme. Reservations should be made by contacting the Autrans tourism office.
