Brits hoping to head to the Olympics in British Columbia this winter will need to book packages through the exclusive tour operators for the Games, Sportsworld.

The company offers three types of package. Firstly the Vancouver Leisure Tour Package Whistler, which is based in Whistler and offers four to 18 nights' accommodation in the five-star Westin Resort and Spa with breakfast. This hotel is located just metres from the cable car which takes you to the best skiing on Whistler Mountain and Blackcomb Mountain.

This package also includes return airport transfers, welcome drinks, pre-departure information, official merchandise, experienced Sportsworld event team in attendance, and the opportunity to request your own selection of event tickets (at an additional cost).  Prices start from £1875 per person (based on double/twin occupancy).

The second option is also called the Vancouver Leisure Tour Package, but is based in Vancouver rather than Whistler and offers  four to 18 nights' accommodation in the four-star Rosedale Hotel with breakfast. The hotel is a 5-minutes walk from the main event venues and close to fantastic shops and restaurants. The package also includes return airport transfers, welcome drinks, pre-departure information, official merchandise, experienced Sportsworld Olympic Team in attendance, and the opportunity to request your own selection of event tickets (at an additional cost).  Prices start from £1160 per person (based on double/twin occupancy).

The third option is the Vancouver Escorted Tour Package which is an escorted tour package based in Vancouver. It includes four or five nights' hotel accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis at the four-star Rosedale Hotel, airport meet and greet, return airport transfers, all event transfers, welcome drinks, and guaranteed Olympic event tickets which will include a selection of men's ice hockey (USA v Canada), figure skating, speed skating - Men's 10,000m Final, freestyle skiing - Men's Ariel's Final, snowboarding - Ladies Parallel Giant Slalom Final, ice hockey - Men's Bronze Medal match, and finally the Closing Ceremony.

The tour also includes sightseeing tours to Granville Island and Grouse Mountain and one lunch or dinner per day. Prices start from £3310 per person (based on double/twin occupancy). These four- or five-night packages cover the last nine nights of the Games (the opening 10 days are sold out).
