The 48^th Ski & Snowboard Expo will run Nov. 6 to 8 at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center in Albany, N.Y.

This year's expo is sponsored by Alpin Haus, and features the return of "Free Lift Ticket Sunday" at which the first 500 paying customers through the door Sunday Nov. 8 get a free lift ticket to Mount Snow. The show's producers point out that's a chance at a $70 value, for an $8 admission ticket.

Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for kids 7-12. Children 6 and under are free with a paying adult. Show hours are 4 to 9 p.m. Nov. 6, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 7, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 8.

Each visitor gets a coupon book with discounts on winter ski apparel, equipment, and lift tickets to several ski areas. The show will feature more than 100 exhibitors showing new clothing, equipment, and travel information. Resorts from the Northeast, the West, and Canada will be there. The show also will include free prizes and merchandise, and interactive, family friendly activities, such as a mobile skate park, and Wii Skiing. There will also be an array of auctions, previously used equipment sales, workshops, and seminars.
