New Chairs, More Terrain At Brundage

Brundage Mountain Resort at McCall, Idaho, plans to have two new chairlifts ready for the season. The lifts will serve 160 new acres of terrain and will more than double the ski area's uphill capacity. The expected result should be short lift lines, even on busy days. Total lift-served acreage now will total 1,500 acres. The new terrain faces south and offers views of Payette Lake. Four runs in the new Lakeview Bowl area will be groomed, but most of the acreage will be left as untouched powder fields and glades. Brundage gets 300-350 inches of snow each year. The second new lift is the Bear Triple. This will provide easier access to runs within the previous boundaries and tie together the specialized Kid's Center facility.
