Portland is readying for the annual Ski Fever show in November. The show offers a place to see the latest gear, swap equipment, and check out regional resorts.
The 30th annual Portland Ski Fever and Snowboard Show is scheduled for the Portland Expo Center Nov. 6-8. Hours for the show run 1-10 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Local outdoor shops represented at the show will be offering discounts up to 70 percent off retail rates for equipment and clothing. You also can find out what the regional resorts have to offer this winter. Entertainment at the show includes the Freeride Theater featuring Everyday Is A Saturday from Poor Boys Productions and a live fashion show and grind rail.
Each attendee at the Portland show will receive a coupon for a two-for one lift ticket. The coupons are valid at Mt. Hood Ski Bowl, Mission Ridge, Whistler Blackcomb, Big White, Timberline, or Hoodoo with some blackout dates and restrictions.
Tickets for the Portland Ski Fever show cost $12 for adults. Juniors ages 6-12 can get tickets for $3, while kids under six years old have free admission. But you can get $2 off your admission and a coupon for kids 12 and under to enter the show free by registering online.
