The Windy City Ski and Snowboard Show, Chicagoland's newest consumer snowsports show, takes place this weekend, Oct. 23-25, on the north side of town at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center.  The three-day show will feature lots of prizes and lift ticket giveaways.  There will be over a million dollars in discount merchandise from top specialty retailers with discounts of up to 70-percent.  It includes all the essential gear you need for the new season, according to show organizers.

Meet manufacturer reps from the top ski and snowboard companies, and see all the new 2010 gear.  You can get expert advise on any new purchases you might be considering.  Local Heartland ski areas and top destination resorts from many Western states will be on hand to help plan your winter vacation and answer questions.

Daily admission is $12.  Kids 11 and under are free.  Present you admission ticket to the 'lift ticket redemption area' for discounts on Devil's Head, Indianhead, and Raging Buffalo Park lift tickets.  You can do this each day you attend with the purchase of a full price admission ticket.

Devil's Head provides you with a coupon, valid Sunday-Friday, for half-off a daily lift ticket.  Indianhead provides a voucher allowing you to ski free the second day with the purchase of a first full-day lift ticket, and it also gives you 10-percent off on lodging.  Raging Buffalo Ski and Snowboard Park gives you a voucher that's good for a P.M. lift ticket valid any day during the season except during Christmas and New Year Holiday weeks.
