Aspen for the Thanksgiving holiday offers more than just fun on the slopes. The best women in the world are in town for the Aspen Winternational Audi FIS Alpine World Cup. They'll race slalom and giant slalom Nov. 28-29, screaming down the face of Aspen Mountain. The weekend also features fireworks, a free concert, and Dine-Around specials.
The central reservations group "Stay Aspen Snowmass" wants your Aspen visit during Winternational to be hassle free by offering a rental package at Four-Mountain Sports. You can reserve your gear in advance, avoid the lines, and save some dough. Four-Mountain Sports will store your gear overnight for free and transfer it to any of the four Aspen-area mountains. Aspen and Snowmass open Nov. 26; Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk open Dec. 12.
You can ski and ride opening weekend for less than $25 per day. Book four days of equipment rentals at Four-Mountain Sports and you get a four-day lift ticket for $99. The deal is good Nov. 26-29, with a booking deadline of Nov. 1. The lift ticket deal needs to be packaged with lodging.
A Spring Hassle-Free Package is offered, good for April 5-11. Lift tickets are less than $29 per day when you book four or more days of equipment rentals at Four-Mountain Sports. A seven-day lift ticket is $199.
