Val d'Isère's new athletic and aquatic centre is opening its doors this year. This state-of-the-art sports complex offers 5000 square metres of athletic installations including 780 square meters of aquatic activities. No pain, no gain isn't the house motto however, as part of the centre invites guests to relax in a veritable haven of well-being.
If the pistes aren't enough for you, the athletic centre offers the opportunity to swim a few laps in the 250-square-metre swimming pool or just have fun in the 430-square-metre fun pool.
For die-hard athletes and guests who just want to play a round with their friends, there's the multi-sports room with 600 square metres of basketball and volleyball courts, ping pong tables, a gymnastics area, and plenty of room for other sports. There's even a 135-square-metre indoor climbing room to take guests to new heights.
With two squash courts, a body building room and yet another for aerobic workouts, Val d'Isère's guests have no excuse for not keeping fit, even if they are on holiday.
Now for the haven of well-being part. In the wellness centre, inside the athletic complex, 225 metres of relaxation and zenitude reward you for all the energy spent earlier. Between the sauna, hammam, spa, and hydromassages, the most strain you'll get here is deciding which one to enjoy first.
It is worth noting that a two- to 15-day Espace Killy pass gives free access to the swimming pool.
