Fourteen inches of snow fell at the beginning of October at Grand Targhee Resort, prompting skiers and snowboarders to start hiking the slopes for turns. The early snow frenzy not only launched Grand Targhee's 40th anniversary season, but coincided with the resort's announcement of offering a discounted anniversary lift ticket.

The lift ticket anniversary 4-packs include four full day adult lift tickets at $40 each. The total cost of the 4-pack is $160.  Lift tickets must be used during the 2009-10 winter season but exclude use Dec. 24 - Jan. 3 and Feb. 15. The 4-packs must be purchased by Dec. 20.

Lift ticket 4-packs may be reloaded once for a total of eight available full day adult $40 lift tickets. The tickets, however, are not transferable.

"Instead of having to keep track of a card, guests who purchase the lift ticket 4-pack will be kept on file in the Activity Center at the base of the resort, and pick up their ticket on the day they want to ski," said John Urdi, Director of Marketing and Sales. "We anticipate this will be a popular product for the occasional skier and snowboarder looking for a great deal."

Passes may be purchased online or at Habitat on Main Street in Driggs between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Nov. 21. They can be purchased in the Activity Center at the base of the resort beginning on the opening day of the winter season, Nov. 27.
