The lodging people at Snowshoe Mountain Resort in West Virginia have lined up what they think is a sweet early season deal based on past snowfall history. Consider it a birthday bash. Book three nights and you get the fourth free for reservations between opening day and Dec. 23.  Children 12 years old and under can ski or snowboard free. Children five years old and younger always ski or ride free at Snowshoe.

Prices for the early season packages start at $95 per person per night. The package includes four nights at a Base Lodge Bronze Standard room, four days of lift tickets for two people, and breakfast all four days. Upgrade to a Mountain Top Gold Jr. Standard Studio and the price is $121 pp per night for the same deal.

These packages are only available by phone and must be made by Dec. 1. They are applicable beginning opening day Nov. 25 through Dec. 23. Rates are dependant upon availability. They vary according to the size and type of the unit and arrival date.

Snowshoe typically receives close to 200 inches of snow annually. It is the largest resort in West Virginia with 60 trails, 14 lifts, and three terrain parks.
