Snow Creek, located in western Missouri just north of Kansas City, fills a void for snow-starved skiers and snowboarders that live in this region.  You don't have a lot of choice unless you want to drive a few hundred miles. 

While it will never be confused with Colorado, the Creek, with a 300-foot vertical drop, 12 named runs, the Rattlesnake Terrain Park, three chairlifts and three surface tows, and five tubing lanes with its own lift, offers a nice choice close to home for your snowsports fix. 

A season pass is the best choice to treat that fix.  It allows you to choose the pass that best meets you interests and fits your needs.  There are passes for those that want to ski or ride daily, and passes that allow you to come out once a week or just for the late night sessions.  Lots of choices.  Season passes will be going up in price on Nov. 1.

An individual pass (7-69) that is good for a daily lift ticket all season long is currently $395.  A child's (6 and under) and senior's (70+) season pass is just $5 anytime.  A Family of 4 Pass, good for up to four family members living in the same household, is now $1185.  It will be going up by over $150.  Additional family members beyond four can be added at any time for $100 each after you purchase the initial pass.   

A couple of new passes this season are the Once-A-Week Pass that allows you to ski or ride one day per week, your choice each week, and the Late Night 522 Pass that allows you to ski and ride from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday nights throughout the season.  The passes are respectively $300 and $190 currently.

Remember all season passes will be going up at the end of the month.  An additional bonus for all Snow Creek passholders is that you receive half-off your lift ticket at any other Peak Resorts property: sister resort Hidden Valley in Missouri; Paoli Peaks in Indiana; Mad River Mountain and Boston Mills/Brandywine in Ohio; Jack Frost/Big Boulder in Pennsylvania; and Crotched Mountain in New Hampshire.
