The sixth annual Vancouver Snow Show moves to a new venue this fall for its Oct. 24-25 event. The show is scheduled this year at the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre at Canada Place.

The show features the Canadian Ski Patrol's Winter Extreme Ski and Board Swap, which spreads new and used gear for sale across 13,000 square feet of space. Proceeds from the gear sales go to the local volunteer ski patrol first aid and rescue services.

The exhibit also lines up booths where you can get the latest information on resorts, gear, and events. At least 12 ski and snowboard resorts from British Columbia will host booths as well as Banff Lake Louise Tourism representing the resorts in the Canadian Rockies. Sports shops, gear manufacturers, the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance, and Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors will also be represented.

The show will run Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors to the event receive free opening day lift tickets for Big White and Silver Star.

Admission to the show is $10 CAD for adults and $8 for students and seniors. A family pass for two adults and two students costs $25 CAD. Kids 11 years old and younger are free, when accompanied by an adult. Tickets may be purchased online, but are also available at the door.
