Whistler Blackcomb's EDGE Cards give residents of Canada and Washington State a way to save a few dollars on lift tickets. The cards, which come pre-loaded with a certain number of lift tickets, have no blackout dates, so they are valid for skiing any day during winter, including holidays.

The resort added a new three-day option into its EDGE Cards. You can buy them pre-loaded with 1, 3, 5, or 10 days of lift tickets, which are valid on the PEAK 2 PEAK lift this year.

Discounted tickets--$66 CAD for adults--are also available for EDGE cardholders once the pre-loaded tickets are used. Those who purchase the 5- or 10-day cards also get a bonus free day valid until Dec. 25, 2009.

The 3- and 10-day cards are only available until Nov. 23, but the 1- and 5-day cards are available after the sale at higher rates. EDGE cards are available in rate packages for adults, seniors and youths, and children. Adult prices run from one-day rates of $69 CAD to 10-day rates of $584 CAD compared to ticket window prices at $89-91 CAD.

A photo identification and proof of residency is required to pick up EDGE cards. EDGE cards can also be linked to your credit card for direct-to-lift use of the card after its pre-loaded tickets are used. Those who have EDGE card from last season can re-load them to use again.
