Colder temperatures have allowed resorts across the northeastern part of the United States to receive and start making snow. But resorts farther south aren't to be out done. Appalachian began making snow Nov. 16 and the resort hopes to continue for as long as the colder temperatures hang in. The resort hasn't announced an opening day yet, so be sure to keep an eye on the weather and an eye on the OnTheSnow.com condition reports.
