The Compagnie du Mont Blanc has put its season passes on sale with a 40 percent discount for early orders. The Mont Blanc Unlimited Pass is now available for 750€ instead of 1250€. The Pass Chamonix is being sold for 520€ instead of 800€. To take advantage of these deals, passes must be purchased before Nov. 30, 2009.
Not sure which pass is right for you? The Pass Chamonix is designed for skiers who like well groomed pistes, relatively controlled mountain conditions, and just enough vertical drop. Mont Blanc Unlimited is for those looking for a free-ride atmosphere, great vertical drops, and legendary hors-piste skiing with a guide.
Both passes give access to the ski areas of Brévent-Flégère, Balme, Grands Montets (2765 metres for the Pass Chamonix; 3300 metres for Mont Blanc Unlimited), and the four ski areas at the bottom of the valley (Savoy, Les Planards, la Vormaine, les Chosalets).
The Mont Blanc Unlimited Pass widens the ski horizons even further not only to more ski resorts, but to more countries--Courmayeur and Funivie Monte Bianco in Italy and Quatre Vallées de Verbier in Switzerland. This pass is also valid for les Houches resort, the Montenvers-Mer de Glace train, the Mont Blanc tramway, and discounts for the Mont Blanc tunnel linking France and Italy.
These passes, as well as all the passes of the Compagnie Mont Blanc, are sold on a hands-free card which costs three euros. The card is rechargeable but not reimbursable.
