Mammoth Mountain sold out their season passes last spring, but ski passes are still available at June Mountain.

Mammoth opened up their MVP Club season pass sale last spring for the first time in four years. The MVP Club had closed in the 2005-06 season as resort officials felt they had the maximum number of passholders that the mountain could handle without impacting the guest experience. Attrition dwindled the number of passholders, and with the resort's need to offset the low price with higher volume, they opened the program to new entrants.

The sale closed in April with all passes sold out. Those now in the MVP Club will get the benefit of low prices next year, and the club is now closed to new entrants again.

Neighboring sister June Mountain began selling their season passes for this winter's ski and snowboard season Oct. 1. Adult season passes cost $770. Young adults ages 19-23 years old can purchase a season pass for $700. Youths ages 13-18 can buy the passes for $600. Passes for children ages 7-12 and seniors cost $450.

June Mountain season passes have no blackout dates or restrictions. They are valid for skiing or riding every day of the season. June Mountain plans on operating their lifts Dec. 13 through Apr. 12 this winter.
