Kitzbuehel has improved its ski infrastructure in time for winter with the installation of a new eight-seater chairlift and new ski slopes.

The new detachable eight-seater Kasereck chairlift, complete with hoods and heated seats, has a capacity for 3300 passengers per hour.

Kitzbuehel has completed the Alter Kaser beginners' ski piste for Maierl III. Similarly, one of the red runs down to Kitzbuehel has been reconstructed as a blue run for beginners, which means that for the first time there is an easy valley run down in to the village. The resort is also developing the detachable Ochsalm Bahn, which should also be very well suited to beginners.

A new ski hut has been built at the Hahnenkamm Ganslernalm offering panoramic views and a chance for refreshments on the famous Streif run. Kitzbuehel has also sourced a new snow-making facility for its toboggan run - the 5000-square-metre Gaisberg Lake.

Kitzbuehel boasts 168 kilometres of ski runs for all levels, ranging from nursery slopes to the legendary Hahnenkamm downhill racing piste for experts. Freestylers can practise the latest tricks at Boarders Paradise on the Kizbueheler Horn. Ski slopes are served by 56 modern ski lifts including the new 3S gondola. Free ski buses connect the ski slopes in the area.
