The linked resort area Galibier Thabor, in the Savoie department of France, is offering a 60-percent discount on season passes ordered through its Web site before Nov. 15, 2009.

This means fans of this French ski area will pay 199€ to ski all season long on the pistes of Valloire and Valmeinier. That's cheaper than a seven-day pass bought from the lift agent. Let the deadline slip by, however, and season passes go up to their normal price of 499€.

Mountains offer a year-round natural playground so Galibier Thabor is also offering a second deal - a summer 2010 lift pass for 20€ more. To take advantage of this offer, it is necessary to order both winter and summer passes before Dec. 13, 2009. Of course, it's possible to order both passes before Nov. 15 and enjoy Galibier Thabor all year round for 219€.

These offers are only valid for orders placed on the Internet. The passes will then be delivered to your home for a 6€ shipping and handling fee or they can be picked up at either Valloire or Valmeinier. A hands free pass card is supplied with no extra charge.

The winter pass gives access to 33 lifts and 150 kilometres of pistes spread over three mountains. With 70 percent of the ski area above 2000 metres, it's almost sure that there will be no lack of snow. Just in case, 400 snow canons are there to thicken the natural blanket of snow.
