SnowBomb will be hosting their fourth annual Silcon Valley Ski & Snowboard Festival on Saturday, Nov. 12 and Sunday, Nov. 13 in Santa Clara, Calif. The event brings winter sports enthusiasts in the Bay Area together to check out booths from top resorts and brands, drink wine and beer, and buy discounted snow gear.
“Our Ski-Wine-Board-Brew festival is the premier attraction leading up to the winter season,” Event Founder Jim McAlpine said. “Five years ago we set out to revolutionize the customer experience at tired, old ski expos and today we’re thrilled to announce the concept keeps getting better.”
Over 20,000 feet of snow sports shopping and entertainment comes to the Santa Clara Convention Center in November.
With a VIP ticket, attendees have access to over 150 wineries and breweries offering tastings. Each entry (both general or VIP) into the show receives three free lift tickets and access to over 100 exhibitors and the latest ski and snowboard gear at over 70 percent off retail prices. More than 20 world-class resorts such as Mammoth, Sun Valley, Big Sky, Squaw, Whistler and Jackson Hole will have booths on display, as well as top brands like Salomon, Rossignol, K2, The North Face and Dynastar.
New for 2011, SnowBomb has teamed up with Teton Gravity Research and Matchstick Productions to premiere their new ski movies the evenings prior to the festival. Friday, November 11, you can check out “One for the Road” from TGR and Saturday, November 12, “Attack of La Nina” from MSP. The first 600 guests into the TGR premiere receive a free Alpine Meadows lift ticket. The first 400 people into the MSP premiere receive a free Sugar Bowl lift ticket.
