Châtel, near the Franco-Swiss border offers a number of blue and red runs, and surprisingly, one mauve 'Milka piste' located at Super-Châtel. Here, young skiers can munch free samples of Milka chocolate bars and enjoy educational activities with Milka ambassadors, before hitting the piste.
The mauve Milka piste is actually a blue piste and accessed by the Super Châtel lift. This gourmet and educational experience invites young skiers to follow the signs and life-size animal figurines positioned along the piste. It's an unexpected and fun way to get to know the mountain biodiversity a little better.
During French school holidays, the resort welcomes Milka ambassadors, including the brand's famous purple cow who concoct all sorts of activities for children on the mauve piste. At the foot of the lift, children can satisfy their sweet tooth with free samples of Milka chocolate bars. From 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays during French school holidays, afternoon snacks are also organised.
The mauve piste is only a foretaste of what awaits Châtel skiers. Stretching from 1100 to 2200 metres, the resort includes 49 pistes serviced by 45 lifts, for a total of 90 kilometres of pistes in this one resort. The neighbouring resorts are either French or Swiss and make up, along with Châtel, the Portes du Soleil ski area. With a pass for the entire area, 650 kilometres of pistes lay ready to be devoured. Perhaps after devouring a little chocolate first.
