Squaw Valley USA is hosting the California premiere of Pretty Good, the new 2009 release from Rage Films. The film celebrates kids that ski the 200-foot-high hills as well as those ripping down big mountain lines.
Pretty Good features the talent of Kyler Cooley, Ian Cosco, Dylan Natale, Mark Dvorak, Mike Mertion, LJ Strenio, Gus Kenworthy, Derek Spong, Joe Schuster, Alex Schlopy, Joss Christensen, Bene Mayr, Fabio Studer, and Cody Ling.
Shots of freeskiing air wander between Oregon, California, Utah, Minnesota, and Europe, and rail freeskiing even goes to downtown Calgary. Deep powder and a midnight rail session are also featured.
Showing of the film is scheduled at the Olympic Village Lodge Thursday, Oct. 1. The doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door. The film is appropriate for all ages.
Rage Films, which now has 12 DVDs on the market, released its first video in 1998. This year's release follows in the tradition of the Bend, Oregon company's previous creations with showcasing all aspects of freeskiing and exposing new talent.
The teaser for Rage's Pretty Good can be viewed online. Other shows are scheduled for Seattle and Bellingham, Wash., and Whistler, B.C.
