Wild Mountain, the popular skiing and snowboarding area perched on a ridge overlooking the St. Croix River valley along the Minnesota/Wisconsin border, has their season pass sale underway, and now is the time to buy.  They have a pass to fit just about all busy schedules.

It's less than an hour from the Twin Cities.  Wild, with a 300-foot vertical drop, 20 some runs, a terrain park, the Soaring Eagle half-pipe, four chairlifts and two surface tows, has been serving Minnesota skiers and riders for more than 30 years.  It's also routinely one of  the first ski areas to open in the Heartland.  They opened in late October last season.  You can count on Wild to fire up the snow guns if it's cold enough.

Purchase your pass by Saturday, Oct. 4 and you can save 15-percent off the regular price.  An individual pass is currently $340, and the regular price is $399.99. The pass will be $360 from Oct. 5 through Nov. 1.  The pass is currently $221 for children (6-12)  and will go up to $234 Oct. 5.  The pass for children five and under is $10 anytime during the season.

Wild also offers a Midweek Pass, good Monday through Friday, a Senior (62+) Midweek Pass, a Saturday Pass, and a Sunday Pass.  All are currently $272 except for the Senior Pass, which is $255, and all will go up by $16 and $15 respectively Oct. 6.

The area's 33rd annual Open House, which includes a ski and snowboard swap, takes place this weekend, Oct. 3-4. You can count on having a good time at Wild.  They have fun, and it's infectious.
