Donner Ski Ranch season ski passes for this winter's ski and snowboard season have been on sale since March. Those looking to take advantage of the sale will need to do so soon, as the sale is winding up by mid-October.

Season passes are on sale for adults at $249. Youth passes for ages 13-17 cost $199. Skiing seven days pays for the pass at the sale price. Rates for both adult and youth season passes go up by $50 at the end of the sale.

Season passes also are available for children ages 6-12 at $99 and for seniors at $150. Rates for child and senior passes do not change after mid-October.

You can purchase season passes by faxing, e-mailing, or mailing completed forms. Passes also are available for purchase in person at the resort.

The season passes at Donner Ski Ranch are unrestricted. They have no blackout dates and are valid as long as the ski hill is open. The chairlifts at Donner ran well into May last spring, offering skiers and riders an exceptionally long season.The sale ends Oct. 15.

Donner plans to operate its six chairlifts daily 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Skis and snowboards will be available to rent, and lessons will also be offered.
