Appalachian Ski Mountain in North Carolina has what its management thinks is a sweet deal for budget-conscious skiers. The Night-Only Season Pass costs $280 for 112 scheduled night sessions between the mountain's opening date of Nov. 20 and the targeted closing date of April 11. The price is the same for all ages.

The night-only option encompasses weekends and holidays and includes nine Midnight Blast weekends on Friday and Saturday nights between Dec. 26 and Feb. 20. On those nights the regular 6 to10 p.m. hours are extended to midnight.  Appalachian is the only Southeastern ski resort offering late night skiing.  

Discounts on Regular Season Passes still are available until Oct. 1. The first and second adults in a family pay a total of $680 until Oct. 1, when the price rises to $705. A third adult in an immediate family pays $290, then $315.  

Individual Adult Season Passes cost $440 until Oct. 1, then $465. Juniors (6 - 12) and seniors (60 and over) cost $345 until Oct. 1, then $370. The Student Season Pass costs $380 until Oct. 1, then $405. Children 5 and younger ski or dide free with a paying adult..
